Wednesday evenings in the Mandifesto household always begin the same way: We stumble home from work, stumble down to the park to walk the dogs, stumble to the computer to watch the latest Zero Punctuation. Unfortunately for the Mandifesto household, that stumbling home from work part has gotten later and later in recent weeks, which means we haven't had the chance to partake in our Wednesday ritual. So this week we caught up, and the first video review on the list was Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I am sad to say I got lost in this game, literally. I'm sure there was a quest out there somewhere, but I spent most of my time picking flowers and running from wolf packs the first week I played it, then set it aside saying "well, if I wanted to get lost in a game, I could just go play Anarchy Online."
But it's a beautiful game, and it's currently sitting on my desk in the "will be played pile" under Bioshock, The Witcher (which I hear is patched now, no pun intended) and Mass Effect. I will have to reserve my opinion on Oblivion until I get the chance to truly sit down and play the game. Until then, I'll borrow Yahtzee's.
