Not much I can say other than holy shit, the beta is open. We talked about it yesterday, but now it's official: invites have begun. It's just the first round, and although I'd love to say those of us with BlizzCon keys should expect an email soon, I didn't get into the last expansion beta even with a key, so it looks like this might also happen this year. While we all spend the day staring at our email clients, here's a couple of headlines from around the net to whet your appetite. If you don't want to be spoiled, don't click the jump.

* World of Raids has put up a gallery so that people can upload their images from the beta. In addition they have an excellent repository of info about the expansion, much of it gleaned from the Alpha and all of it awesome.
* Here's a great video, the first in a series on the creation and leveling of a Death Knight. There will be others focusing on the Theorycrafting of the DK class, and if they are as cool as this one, I will be sure to share them with you. Holy crap that starting area is awesome.
* Boubouille on MMO Champion has posted the first Wrath patch notes. Knowing how much things change during beta testing, huge grain of salt. But oh my god it's great to hear about this after so much secrecy! Reading through these I notice a couple of very clever things:
- * Death Knights start in Eastern Plaguelands with zero talent points. I imagine they've revamped the quests there to make levelling as smooth as it was for Blood Elves and Draenei.
- * Tradeskills are maxed out now at 425
- * The level cap in Beta is currently set at 77
- * Holy Paladin Revamp Batman! By far the Pally is getting the most love in this expansion, and it's only fitting considering the lore
