I must say, I am extremely glad to have RSS feeds on my Google homepage. This evening, after a long day of doing mostly nothing, I sat down at my computer to find that the Fable II developers have announced the release date for the first expansion to the game, entitled Knothole Island. The beautiful thing about it is, we won't have to wait long: Knothole Island will be available for download from XBox Live on January 13th.
The expansion pack will cost only 250 points, so it's a great deal. As the developers put it, it's a "post holiday treat" for all of us Fable II fans. In listening to Peter Molineux talk about their plans for the game, I got the distinct impression that we will be seeing more expansions as time goes on. This is a world for explorers, and as explorers we always want more to see and experience. Save up your Marketplace points, friends, the island awaits.
