Eurogamer is reporting that the first of three Fallout 3DLC packs will be coming to an Xbox 360 near you on January 27th.  Wondering when we'll see the PC and PS3 DLC?  Don't hold your breath.  It appears that due to a deal with Microsoft, Operation: Anchorage and its DLC brethren will be only available through the Xbox Marketplace.  I can't weep too many salty tears, as I am one of the few who haven't gotten to the end of the original game as of yet.  When I do, I suppose Vault Boy shall have to console me through the long, DLC-emtpy nights.

Those of you fortunate enough to own a 360 version of Fallout 3 will get the chance to experience a military sim with a distinctly pre-nuclear vibe.  Do drop us a line and let us know how many members of the Chinese army you were able to repel, would you?

Where's the playstation love, Bethesda?
sigh...
I hope it's just a timed exclusivity.

Actually, the DLC is coming to the PC at the exact same time it is coming to the 360. The only system not getting it, or at least not right away, is the PS3. To quote your own link: "This, the first of three chunky DLC packs, will cost 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60) from Xbox Live Marketplace and Games for Windows Live."

Regardless, this smacks of the Netflix 360 deal where for a few days we heard that they would restrict the movie list so that people couldn't watch Sony movies on their Xbox. Once again it's about Microsoft trying to pull players away from the competition. Since they can't do it with a quality product, they instead throw their corporate weight around. The whole thing just smells bad.
