Okay you got me.  I'm a visual person -- no surprise that I'm also a gamer -- so all the glimpses of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel that I've seen so far haven't really revv'd my engine.  I don't feel enough of a level of engagement with top-down adventure RPGs.  I guess I need to swing the sword myself, to cast that fateful fireball with my own scorched palms.  But now there'sa set of screenshots of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel , and I'll be damned if the game doesn't have me suddenly wishing it was March 24th.

These player characters have style, panash, and a personality all their own.  In these screenshots I see the promise of each class having not only a unique play style, but also unique backstory: the hardened warrior who grimly looks into the future and sees only more bloodshed; the elven caster who appears poised for even the harshest of battle situations; the valkyrie that manages to kick ass in six-inch stilleto boots; and the dog-faced man, who honestly creeps me out in all his Egyptian oddness.  Intrigued? Hit the jump for the screenshots that got my imagination going.
