This week in my World of Warcraft I had a few awesome things happen. Officially my level 80 druid has 10-man Naxx Tier 7 for every single spec (haha) and my little baby druid on my friend’s server dinged level 30 and has her very own kitty mount. These things may seem small, but when you have played a game for so long, it is the little things that begin to matter most.

As I have stated a couple times in the past, I went on a pretty long WoW break. I dinged level 80 and then gave in to real life for a few months. About three weeks ago I went back to raiding one night a week, and in just those three runs, I have acquired tier 7 head, shoulders, legs, chest and gloves x3. I know I am not the only one who has had similar luck. Most people I know who have been raiding 10/25 man Naxx for a couple months now have the same issue. I think it is amazing because I just came back, and I really needed the gear… but what about those poor souls who have been doing this every week since release? How terribly bored are they? I bet they are cheering for Ulduar even more than I am.

I am happy that Blizzard made it so easy to obtain gear, but I do hope it settles out a little in the latter instances. Obviously, it is necessary to be able to get gear easily at first. It would be a catch-22 if you needed good gear in order to get good gear. (Which is one of the biggest flaws in higher raiding guilds: You have to have good gear to app, but you need to app to get the good gear. Ugh.) I enjoy the multiple gear sets because I am in a pretty open-minded 25 man raiding group. They want us to feel welcome and almost require us to be willing to spec the way we want. Therefore, my raiding group would be ok with me being a resto druid, a moonkin, a DPS cat or even a tank. Though, with all of the Death Knights running rampant in the World of Warcraft these days, there won’t be much need for tankage.

And then there is my baby druid. She is my dirty little secret. I run off and play her on most non-raiding nights (when I have time), and the more I level, the more I want to play her. My main druid is a Tauren, and I have been a cow for many years now – For the Horde! I claim to dislike Night Elves because everyone and their mother is a Night Elf; but dag blast it, in the words of a friend of mine, it is nice to be one of the beautiful people. Well, at long last she finally got to level 30; which means I not only get travel form, but since Patch 2.4.3, I am able to get a ground mount. For the first time in my World of Warcraft career, I, CrimsonNClover have a Frostsaber mount. I have been drooling over these lovely kitties since I first began the game, and I can’t say how excited I am to finally posses one of my own. (Thank you awesome friend who gave me the gold to buy one!)
