Those of us who occasionally seek our RPG gaming goodness from sources non-digital in nature are more than likely all too familiar with the grand-daddy of Pen & Paper Roleplaying known as Dungeons & Dragons. Much like our hairstyles and tastes in music, D&D has adapted through the generations, slowly evolving into the current 4th Edition set of rules released last year. In an effort to add more content and customization to the 4th Edition ruleset, Wizards of the Coast has released an addendum to the Players Handbook (cleverly entitled Players Handbook 2) that adds in a few new classes and races, including the return of the fan favorite race, Gnomes.
On Saturday, March 21st, mere hours from the writing of this post, Wizards of the Coast is planning a World Wide D&D Game Day Event, where players can come in and try out the new races, classes, powers, and other rules. Pregenerated level 11 characters are being supplied to help get players right in on the action. If you are interested in dusting off your d20's, or are simply curious as to what this D&D stuff is all about, feel free to check out the official event site for more information on where the events will take place. Just do us a favor and leave the hand made felt tabards and slip-on pointy elf ears at home this time.
