If you're not already completely stoked about Dragon Age: Origins, then you need too see below for GamePro editor Andy Burt's interview with BioWare's GM/CEO Ray Muzyka. In it they talk extensively about the pride and joy of this new epic title: "Choice & Consequence". The key here is that for every choice you make, a corresponding consequence applies. This may not be a good or bad consequence, but it will be one that will have a direct effect on your end game experience.

To me, what is most exciting is that this will likely be a great precursor to my favorite game (already) of 2010 - Star Wars: The Old Republic, which will likely implement the same style system. As well the console set up will mirror the control styles of a game of the year winner Mass Effect. A smart decision given the immense success of the first game and the upcoming sequel due out this fall.

Well, enough of my gabbing, enjoy an up close and personal update on the "Choice & Consequence" system you'll get to enjoy this fall in Dragon Age: Origins

DrZeiss

not to be a killjoy but are there other articles to be expected that's not always related to MMOs?
if it keeps up, the site might need to be called omgmmorpg.com instead :(

Hey Dr Zeis!

Sorry about the slow down in non-MMO posting - Some of the writers were away (myself included) and weren't able to contribute to site for a few weeks. I feel that SlashNoob has done an amazing job with holding down the fort in our absence, but his interest focus is mostly on MMOs (WoW most specifically) and that reflects directly in the articles he writes. We are back now, however, and you should see a larger variety of content coming your way soon.

Speaking completely for myself, I have been horrible about providing timely content to the site, and I must humbly apologize for that - My priority, first and foremost, has been to the development of the BlogFaction engine that omgRPG and the other BlogFactions sites run on. My passion, however, is absolutely in RPG gaming, and I hope to find the time to write more here about the dungeon romping and dragon slaying I love so very much.

By the way, Dragon Age: Origins isn't an MMO, so at least there was that! ^_^
