So I'm scraping DeviantArt, and suddenly I come across this. I remove my glasses slowly, tears welling, confused. I can now say with a certain degree of confidence (and for the first time in my life), that this is the most romantic image of Link from Zelda ever conceived. Can this be debated? To kick off omgRPG's Fan Art section, I figured it was only fitting to feature an image from one of the founding titles of the genre, the original The Legend of Zelda. Here we see brave and daring young Link, with only a wooden sword and a tiny little shield at hand, getting the jump on an unsuspecting Octorok. Drawn using Sketchbook Pro and colored in Painter IX, this image only took a little over an evening to create.
